Speaker Handbook

Welcome, speaker!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the DataCraft Kaunas community. This handbook covers everything you need to know before, during, and after your talk.

Talk formats

  • Full talk — 30 minutes including Q&A (aim for 22–25 min of material).
  • Lightning round — 5 minutes, no Q&A on stage (hallway questions welcome).

Timeline

  • CFP submission — submit via the website at any time.
  • Acceptance — program team replies within one week.
  • Dry-run — two weeks before the event we run a 30-minute online session to go through slides and timing. Optional but strongly recommended for first-time speakers.
  • Day of event — arrive 30 minutes early for a sound check and projector test.

Recording

Sessions are recorded. Video is published on our YouTube channel after the event. By confirming your slot you consent to your talk being recorded and published. If you need to opt out, notify us at least 48 hours before the event at hello@griaustinis.lt and we will not publish your recording.

Slides

  • Any format works — Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Slides, PDF, or a live demo.
  • 16:9 aspect ratio preferred; the projector supports up to 1920×1080.
  • Sharing your slides after the talk (on the event page or via a link) is appreciated but not required.

Code of conduct

All speakers are expected to follow our Code of Conduct. Avoid language or imagery that could make attendees feel unwelcome.
